The Society for Vascular Surgery® (SVS) is focused on increasing the role of vascular surgery in clinical research trials, supporting the vascular surgery researcher, and encouraging research in critical areas of vascular disease. 

SVS published objective performance goals for new technology in the area of critical limb ischemia in the December 2009 issue of the Journal of Vascular Surgery®. Information about this initiative is available on the left navigation bar.

SVS encourages the interest and development of clinical investigators by offering Clinical Research Seed Grants, a Multicenter Clinical Studies Planning Grant, and educational programs on current research at the Vascular Annual Meeting®.
