By George Andros, M.D., Editor
Welcome to our first electronic edition of Vascular Specialist. Henceforth, the familiar print version will appear in your mailbox in the odd-numbered months and the electronic issues on your computer screens in the even-numbered.
The online version allows the editors and Elsevier greater flexibility to include our customary mixture of stories
encompassing the full breadth of vascular surgery, editorials, and letters as well as the most up-to-date news stories. You won’t be able to hold it or fold it but we hope that the contents will continue to merit your interest.
As usual we encourage you, our readers, to let us know what you would like to see in your newspaper, printed and online.
This inaugural electronic issue has the first online-only version of Veith’s Viewpoint by Frank Veith. There are two clinical reports, one on carotid stenting and the other on peripheral arterial disease. In addition, we present news from the FDA and CMS and there is an historical overview of the life and accomplishments of Dr. John Hunter.
To quote the great Michael Faraday: “There is a bill of fare for you; and what is more I hope it will not disappoint you.”
