In the January issue, I informed you that we would be increasing to 10 issues per year and we anticipated that they would all be print versions. Well, we will be increasing frequency, but the additional issues will be now be available exclusively through VascularWeb.org. Not only will a Web format allow us to get late-breaking information to you quickly and comprehensively, it will permit us to grow to a monthly frequency immediately. Just as you receive SVS Pulse as an e-mail, you will receive an electronic Vascular Specialist newsletter leading you to the online edition in alternate months, beginning in April. Thus, from now on you can look forward to six print issues and six electronic issues.
The appearance will be different, but we hope that the content will continue to provide interesting and up-to-date stories about what is new and important in our specialty. It had been our plan to move to an online version of Vascular Specialist in 2010 but circumstances have accelerated that process.
Our opening edition will feature a timely editorial on the economic crisis by Frank Veith in his Veith's Viewpoint column, an historical piece on the Hunter brothers in Vascular Surgery Chronicles, as well the same mix of meeting news, technology, and trials impacting our specialty that you have come to expect from Vascular Specialist.
Let us know if you like our new format, and write us about the issues that you believe we should all hear about.
