SVS Awarded High Honors at the VAM

Dr. ChuterSVS Medal for Innovation: Dr. Timothy A.M. Chuter, director of the endovascular surgery program and professor of surgery in the vascular surgery department at the University of California, San Francisco, Calif., was presented the Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS) Medal for Innovation at the Vascular Annual Meeting. The Medal for Innovation is awarded to individuals whose contribution has had a transforming impact on the practice or science of vascular surgery. Because Dr. Chuter has been a leading developer of the technology utilized in the endovascular treatment of vascular disease for over 20 years, he was awarded this recognition.

Dr. ReedSVS Women's Award: Dr. Amy B. Reed, assistant professor of surgery and the director of the vascular surgery fellowship program in the division of vascular surgery at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in Cincinnati, Ohio, was presented the Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS) Women's Leadership Training Award at the SVS annual meeting. The award, supported by a grant by W. L. Gore \& Associates, Inc., assists female vascular surgeons to become leaders and mentors in the vascular surgery specialty. It is given to a deserving SVS member who is a practicing female vascular surgeon to attend a leadership training program.
