CMS Approves Vascular Registry for CAS Certification

On February 1, CMS released a proposed coverage decision memorandum for carotid artery stenting, stating, "Facilities enrolled in a CMS approved national carotid artery stenting registry will automatically meet the data collection standards required for initial and continued facility certification." The SVS Vascular Registry has been designated a CMS Approved national carotid stenting registry for CAS data collection.
