Program Overview:

The Research Initiatives in Vascular Disease Conference brings together vascular surgeons, basic scientists, and clinical scientists from other disciplines to facilitate research in vascular disease by exchanging information and ideas. It is intended to stimulate interest in research in trainees who will potentially be academic vascular surgeons.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completing the course, participants should be able to:

  • Identify new directions for research in vascular disease.
  • Outline ideas that will promote research that can potentially lead to improving the outlook for patients with vascular disease.
  • Understand both the needs of clinical specialists in vascular disease and the fundamental approaches that are offered by basic scientists.

CME Credit:

The Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to pro-vide continuing medical education for physicians. The SVS designates this educational activity for a maximum of 9.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Cre-dits. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
