Arteriosclerosis, Thrombosis & Vascular Biology Annual Conference 2009
April 29 - May 1, 2009 | Omni Shoreham Hotel | Washington, D.C.

The SVS Research Council and the Arteriosclerosis, Thrombosis & Vascular Biology (ATVB) Council of the American Heart Association are coordinating their basic science meetings for the first time in 2009. Those wishing to submit an abstract will compete for oral abstract presentation opportunities at both the SVS Research Initiatives in Vascular Disease Conference and the ATVB Annual Conference.

How to Submit a Research Abstract

The change in format and the coordination with the ATVB Council has necessitated some changes in the abstract submission process this year. Please carefully note the following:

  1. Research abstracts must be submitted simultaneously to BOTH the SVS Abstract Submission Site (Deadline: January 5) and the ATVB Abstract Submission Site (Deadline: January 16). A nominal fee is required to submit to ATVB.
  2. Abstracts will be judged by both the SVS Research Initiatives Program Committee and the ATVB Program Committee. The two program committees will then coordinate scheduling of accepted abstracts.
  3. Authors will be notified of acceptance and scheduling for presentation by mid-February 2009.
  4. Abstracts accepted for presentation at ATVB will be cited online in Arteriosclerosis, Thrombosis and Vascular Biology.

Please contact Rashonda Ross at 312-334-2306 for further information or if you have questions about the abstract submission process or the new research meeting format.
