The purpose of this document is to provide recommendations regarding physician training and credentialing for carotid stenting.  This document has been approved by the Society for Vascular Surgery, the Society for Vascular Angiography and Interventions, and the Society for Vascular Medicine and Biology and endorsed by the American College of Cardiology, and Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery.
