 2014 Annual Meeting

Midwestern Vascular 2014 will be held at the new Marriott Coralville Hotel & Conference Center in Coralville, IA (Iowa City, IA), September 4-6, 2014.

The meeting returns to its original pattern and will begin on Thursday, September 4th and conclude on Saturday, September 6th.

Located 2 miles from the University of Iowa and located in the Iowa River Landing, the Coralville Marriott is one of the finest hotels in Iowa City. Featuring smoke-free accommodations and the area's largest meeting space, our Iowa City hotel is within easy reach of Cedar Rapids and Des Moines. Guests can enjoy Iowa City hotel's walking trails, dining, indoor pool, 24-hour health club and the unique Iowa Writer's Library, housing manuscripts from the country's oldest society of writers.

Plans for “Midwestern Vascular 2014” are underway. The meeting will include presentation of special interest topics in the New Horizons for Vascular Surgery Session and will also feature the Mock Orals program for vascular surgery fellows. This year, the Mock Orals will be expanding to include simulation training, and promises to be an excellent educational experience for our trainees. Additional information will be available soon.

The Society is now accepting abstracts on original work for Midwestern Vascular 2014. The abstract submission deadline is Monday, April 28, 2014. Abstracts may only be submitted electronically.   The Society encourages members to submit your own work or to sponsor the work of a colleague.

Fellows and Residents are invited to submit their research work for the Charles C. Guthrie Award for Basic Research, D. Emerick Szilagyi Award for Clinical Research and the John R. Pfeifer Venous Award.

The Society will be applying for CME to offer Self-Assessment credits that meet the ABS/VSB requirements for MOC for the entire Midwestern Vascular 2014 annual meeting.  Authors are required to submit two questions for this test as part of the submission process.

Revisions to abstracts already submitted will be accepted through 5:00 p.m. Central Time, Tuesday, April 29, 2014.
