The 29th annual Vascular Research Initiatives Conference (VRIC), presented by Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS), is a one-day scientific conference uniquely designed to foster interaction among top scientists of diverse disciplines who are investigating peripheral vascular disease and its treatments. VRIC is also dedicated to stimulating and encouraging interest in research among trainees who are aspiring academic vascular surgeons. The meeting's exclusive and intimate atmosphere allows for the free exchange of ideas and development of collaborative projects equally among senior and junior investigators.

Who Should Attend
Anyone with an interest in the biology of vascular disease will find a vibrant environment for learning and the exchange of ideas. VRIC attendees have included vascular surgeons, vascular biologists, physicians with an interest in vascular problems, vascular surgery trainees, research trainees in vascular surgery and vascular biology, and industry personnel with an interest in vascular disease.

Collaboration with the American Heart Association (AHA)
VRIC is organized to immediately precede the Arteriosclerosis, Thrombosis and Vascular Biology/Peripheral Vascular Disease 2015 Scientific Sessions (ATVB/PVD 2015). Cooperative organization of programs optimizes the experience for all. Attendance at both meetings is encouraged to maximize the value of the attendee’s travel and time. This organization also allows investigators to submit their science in a single abstract submission process for consideration of presentation at both meetings.

VRIC Trainee (Student, Resident, Fellow) Travel Awards
Through generous support from the SVS Foundation, the top abstracts submitted to the VRIC by trainees (medical student, resident or fellow) in a surgical lab will be awarded a stipend to support travel to the conference.

Submit Your Abstract
Now through January 23, 2015, submit your abstract to the 2015
