Clinical Practice Track
This year, the Vascular Annual Meeting has scheduled tracks to enable vascular surgeons to attend more programming pertinent to their specific interests. For example, one track will concentrate on clinically active surgeons and will focus on topics such as best practices, hospital negotiations, meaningful use, practice pearls, and more.
SVS/STS/AATS Symposium: Advances and Controversies in the Contemporary Management of Complex Thoraco-abdominal Aneurysmal Disease
Advances in technology, both surgical and endovascular, have outpaced common clinical practice knowledge resulting in new paradigms in patient treatment, particularly for complex aortic aneurysms. This session will focus on aneurysms involving the visceral vessels, as well as acute and chronic dissections.
An exciting new session, the International Forum, has been planned to increase the international exchange among vascular surgeons around the world. This session, to be held at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, May 29, will feature abstracts submitted by international authors.
New Exhibit Hall Layout
This year’s Vascular Annual Meeting will feature a new exhibit hall layout. The new layout has been designed to increase traffic flow for all exhibitors, large and small alike. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn about the vascular community’s latest products, devices, and services in the Exhibit Hall.
SVS Vascular Quality Initiative (VQI) Annual Report
With more than 200 participating centers and data from approximately 75,000 procedures, SVS VQI has matured to the point that a dedicated Vascular Annual Meeting session was designed for the presentation of both quality related reports and scientific papers based on regional and national VQI data.
Claim CME Online During the Vascular Annual Meeting
SVS has now made it easier to claim CME credits during the Vascular Annual Meeting. CME credits can be claimed online from a computer without waiting in line. The link will be available beginning Wednesday, May 29. Or for those who prefer, the CME counters in the registration area of Moscone West Convention Center will still be available.

Several concurrent sessions will be offered on Wednesday, May 29 from 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm. Please make travel plans accordingly to attend these exciting sessions.
Vascular Annual Meeting Mobile App

This year’s Vascular Annual Meeting will once again feature a mobile App (iPhone, iPad and Android devices). The App will allow attendees to build their own schedule, including personal appointments with exhibitors, search the program by topic or speaker, and reference the Exhibit Hall and Convention Center floor plans.
A moderated poster competition will take place at the Vascular Annual Meeting. Accepted abstracts, selected by the SVS Program Committee for poster presentation, will go through a two-
round judging process with the final round and prize presentation on Saturday, June 1. Attendees will use an audience response system keypad to vote for the top three posters.
Each plenary session of the Vascular Annual Meeting will include a five-minute video presentation of an open or endovascular procedure by a SVS member or sponsored guest. This will be followed by five minutes of comments and questions from the floor.
Clinical Debate Session
The Clinical Debate Session is scheduled for Friday, May 31. There will be two debate topics and two or three different positions. Audience members will then vote for the best debates with a response system keypad.
Plan to attend this year’s opening reception at 5:30 pm on Thursday, May 30 in the Exhibit Hall. An invitation will be included in the virtual tote bag to be forwarded to all registered attendees prior to the meeting. Exhibitor Education/Training Pavilions
Once again, SVS is offering exhibitor-sponsored education and training sessions. In pavilions located in the Exhibit Hall of Moscone West Convention Center, sessions will be presented by Gore and Associates, Thursday through Saturday, Pavillions B and C and APTUS Endosystems, Inc., Pavilion D, Thursday and Friday. The pavilions will be open throughout the week at specified times published in the onsite program.
CME Transcripts Available On Site
A CME Certificate for the Vascular Annual Meeting is available to print at the CME counters in the registration area of Moscone West Convention Center. As an alternative, a link will be available to claim CME credit on VascularAnnualMeeting.org during and following the meeting.
The Cyber Café will be located in the Exhibit Hall of the Moscone West Convention Center. Attendees may use the Cyber Café to check or send email and stay in touch with the office; locate meeting attendees and exhibiting companies; or print a boarding pass for the trip home. Don’t forget to check the scrolling message monitor for messages from colleagues. Please be courteous to colleagues and limit Cyber Café time during peak hours. The Cyber Café will be open during exhibit hours.
Follow the Red Carpet
A red carpet will be installed from the plenary session room to the entrance of the Exhibit Hall. Be sure to visit the exhibits and support partnering sponsors that are an integral part of the Vascular Annual Meeting.
Plenary and Breakfast Session Downloads

Once again, plenary and breakfast session downloads will be available in the Exhibit Hall. All plenary and breakfast sessions will be available for downloading after the sessions have been presented. Visit the Medtronic Booth #428 in the Exhibit Hall during exhibit hours. Flash drives will be distributed to each professional attendee in the registration area upon redemption of the flash drive voucher provided to all professional attendees at registration.
