The site of the 2012 Vascular Annual Meeting is Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center located just outside Washington, DC on the banks of the Potomac River in National Harbor, Maryland. The resort is located 15 minutes from Reagan National Airport and 45 minutes from Dulles and Baltimore Washington Airports.

Weather
The average temperature in Washington, DC in June is an 83-degree high and a 65-degree low. Please dress appropriately as the meeting rooms have a tendency to be a bit chilly.
Attire
The attire for the conference is business casual during the day and resort casual for hospitality events.
Americans With Disabilities Act Accommodations
Registrants who need specialized accommodations to participate in the Vascular Annual Meeting (i.e., large print or Braille materials; assistance obtaining motorized scooter rentals) should check the “Yes” box under Disability Accommodations on the Attendee Meeting Registration Form. Someone from the SVS office will call to discuss how we may assist you.
Ground Transportation
Gaylord National offers an exclusive, express shuttle to and from Reagan National Airport (operated by SuperShuttle). This convenient new service will depart every twenty minutes from Gaylord National's front door to Reagan National Airport, and every twenty minutes from the Reagan National Airport baggage claim. Reservations are recommended, but tickets also will be available from the SuperShuttle desk, located on the lower level of the airport, near baggage claim.

Spouse Hospitality Room
There will be a hospitality room at Gaylord National where spouses can become acquainted and plan their activities. The room will be open from 7 am – 3 pm on Thursday and Friday, June 7 & 8. Continental breakfast and beverages will be provided. Please check the on site program for the final room assignment.
Alumni and Committee Receptions
The evening hours on Thursday, June 7, 2012 are reserved for alumni, committee, and group receptions. The receptions will occur at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center.
The reception arrangements enable attendees who may be members of more than one alumni association or group to frequent multiple receptions. SVS requests that receptions begin after 6:30 pm so as not to conflict with the SVS Opening Reception.

email it to SVS. Upon receipt of the request, a space release letter will be generated to the hotel.
There is no rental charge to secure a meeting room. However, all additional costs associated with alumni reception events are the responsibility of the host organization.
