 Covidien Contributes to Society for Vascular Surgery® Foundation

CHICAGO - The Society for Vascular Surgery® (SVS) today announced that Covidien, a leading global supplier of healthcare products, has made a significant contribution to the Society for Vascular Surgery® Foundation, the philanthropic arm of SVS. The donation supports vascular research and advances Covidien’s focus on improving patient outcomes.

“The SVS Foundation funds research that leads to advancements in the quality of care and ultimately the outcomes provided to our vascular patients,” said Robert Zwolak, MD, chair of the SVS Foundation. “Covidien shares this mission.”

The Foundation offers support to vascular surgeons along the continuum of their research career. The Foundation’s support ranges from a Multicenter Clinical Planning Grant to assisting experienced investigators develop competitive applications for external funding of full-scale multicenter clinical studies to mentored clinical and patient-oriented career development awards.
