CHICAGO – The Society for Vascular Surgery® Foundation presented eight research fellowships to students attending United States universities during the Vascular Annual Meeting® held June 6-8, 2012 in National Harbor, Maryland. In addition to the $3,000 one-year student stipend, each fellow receives a two-year subscription to the Journal of Vascular Surgery®.
The eight 2012 award recipients are:
- Philip Auyang, University of California San Francisco, San Francisco, CA
- Catherine Go, University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA
- Jane Han, SUNY Upstate Medical University, Syracuse, NY
- Bogdan Kindzelski, Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, OH
- Robert Lin, University of Washington, Seattle, WA
- Arin Madenci, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston, MA
- John Radio, University of Nebraska, Omaha, NE
- Gauthami Soma, University of Wisconsin, Madison, WI
The awards are made to United States or Canadian institutions where students are conducting two to 12 month research projects. All awardees are sponsored by a member of the Society for Vascular Surgery. Upon completion of their research, awardees must submit a written report to the Society for Vascular Surgery Research and Education Committee.
