CHICAGO – The Society for Vascular Surgery® (SVS) elected Gregory J. Landry, MD, as a Distinguished Fellow during their Vascular Annual Meeting® held June 16-18, 2011 in Chicago.
The designation of Distinguished Fellow is bestowed upon an active, international, or senior member of the Society for Vascular Surgery who has made substantial, sustained contributions in two of three categories – research, service, or education. The application process requires three letters of support from SVS Distinguished Fellows.
Dr. Landry is an Associate Professor of Surgery, Division of Vascular Surgery / Dotter Institute of Interventional Radiology at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland. In addition, he is an attending surgeon at Oregon Health & Science University as well as Portland Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center.
Currently, Dr. Landry is the principle investigator on three research protocols and co-investigator on another 11 research protocols. Within the past three years, he has completed 16 research protocols as primary or co-investigator.
Dr. Landry has served on seven medical journal review boards. He has contributed to 47 medical articles and 35 book chapters. He has made 117 medical presentations. Board certified in both general and vascular surgery, Dr. Landry is a member of 10 professional societies.
Educated at the University of Wisconsin- Madison Medical School, Dr. Landry completed his medical internship, residency, and fellowship at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland.
