An Active or International Member can become a Senior Member upon notifying the Society for Vascular Surgery® (SVS) membership coordinator of full retirement from the practice of vascular surgery or other just cause, such as health reasons, by recommendation of the Board of Directors. The SVS does not have an age requirement to obtain Senior status. Requests for Senior status can be submitted in writing to membership@vascularweb.org. A simple statement stating that you have fully retired from the practice of vascular surgery will suffice.

Senior members are exempt from annual dues. Senior members may purchase the Journal of Vascular Surgery® (JVS) at a discounted rate of $65. JVS subscription forms are sent in November annually to the email address/mailing address on file.
