Join the Society for Vascular Surgery® (SVS) General Surgery Resident Networking Section to receive direct access to valuable career resources as well as network with similarly interested general surgery residents.
Qualifications
A graduate of a medical school in the United States, Canada, or internationally with a current status as a resident enrolled in a training program focused on general surgery. (Residents in 0-5 and 3+3 vascular surgery integrated residency programs are eligible to become SVS candidate members.)
Requirements
SVS General Surgery Resident Section members pay a one-time US$25 fee for the duration of their general surgery residency.

Accepted on a rolling basis. Download the application and email the completed application to studentresident@vascularsociety.org (for credit card orders only) or mail to (all checks must be mailed):

The application is a fill-in form. Either save the completed form to your computer and print out a hard copy of the form or complete the application form online and submit electronically to studentresident@vascularsociety.org.

Governing Council
The Section’s activities are overseen by an eight-member Governing Council elected by the Section’s members at each Vascular Annual Meeting (except for one Active SVS Member who is appointed by the SVS President). The Governing Council is responsible for carrying out policies and action items adopted by the Section, as well as directing its agenda and strategies. The Governing Council Section meeting is presided over by a chair elected by and from among Governing Council members.
