Scope of Work

• Oversee activities to address comparative effectiveness and cost effectiveness of vascular interventions

2012-2013 Charges

• Monitor comparative effectiveness research activities of (US) NIH (National Institutes of Health), AHRQ (Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality), and the IOM (Institute of Medicine) and evaluate SVS participation 
• Communicate developments within the national comparative effectiveness agenda to SVS members via quarterly updates, educational programs and / or publications
• Complete JVS supplement on Comparative Effectiveness Research
• Utilize datasets available (i.e., CLI dataset, NSQIP, VQI) for comparative effectiveness research
• Initiate activities to address critical issues related to comparative effectiveness research in vascular disease especially those related to the SVS Clinical Research Priorities
