Scope of Work

  • Oversees activities related to clinical practice and professionalism
  • Monitors practice environment, identifies issues for Society for Vascular Surgery® (SVS) attention, and recommends strategic initiatives
  • Annually reviews practice resources section of VascularWeb.org and advises staff on content
  • Facilitates activities for the reporting committees to enhance coordiantion 

2011-2012 Charges

  1. Develop programs and products to help members successfully manage changing practice patterns, reduced reimbursement, competitive pressures and the business aspects of practice.
  2. Develop strategies and programs to position vascular surgeons as the preeminent experts and providers of comprehensive care of vascular conditions.
  3. Develop strategies, programs and products to help members demonstrate accountability for the quality of care and to position the speciality as a leader in developing quality improvement tools, standards, and measures.
  4. Develop strategies for strengthening the influence and credibility of the specialty with public and private decision makers.
  5. Develop strategies and programs to prepare the next generation of vascular surgeons.
