The site of the 2008 Vascular Annual Meeting is the San Diego Convention Center. The Headquarter Hotel is the San Diego Marriott Hotel with overflow rooms available at the Omni San Diego.

Once again, SVS has contracted Wyndham Jade to provide complete housing services for the 2008 Society for Vascular Surgery and Peripheral Vascular Surgical Society attendees. Members of the Society for Vascular Ultrasound, Society for Vascular Nursing and Society for Vascular Medicine are requested to refer to their respective societies for housing information as each society has secured its own block of rooms at alternate hotels.

Child Care Options
Should you plan to bring your child(ren) with you, please check with the hotel concierge regarding available childcare options. Due to safety concerns and insurance liability, individuals under the age of 21 are not allowed on the exhibit floor at any time. Additionally, as a consideration to others, children are not permitted in any Annual Meeting function, including all educational sessions and social events.
Weather
The average temperature for San Diego in June is a beautiful 70-degree high and a 60-degree low.
Attire
The attire for the conference is business casual during the day and resort casual for hospitality events.
Americans With Disabilities Act Accommodations
Registrants who need specialized accommodations to participate in the Vascular Annual Meeting (i.e., large print or Braille materials; assistance obtaining motorized scooter rentals) should check the “Yes” box under Disability Accommodations on the Attendee Meeting Registration Form. Someone from the SVS office will call to discuss how we may assist you.
Ground Transportation
XPRESS Shuttle provides 24-hour airport transportation. Upon your arrival at the airport, follow the signs to “Ground Transportation” and look for the XPRESS Shuttle to the hotel or call 619-222-5800 or 800-900-RIDE. Current rates are $6.00 per person each way. XPRESS services all downtown hotels. Parking
On-site private vehicle parking is available at the San Diego Convention Center's 1,950-vehicle underground garage located below the building. Enter the parking garage on Harbor Drive between First Ave. and Fifth Ave.
Parking in Downtown San Diego
Directly across the street from the Convention Center, on the corner of Harbor and 8th Ave., is a 2,000 space parking structure.
Off-site parking is available at numerous nearby parking lots and garages in Downtown San Diego, many are within walking distance of the Center. Lots and garages are individually owned and operated, prices vary by location.
Metered street parking is available in some areas. Parking meters are enforced Monday through Saturday, from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m., unless otherwise posted. Metered spots are free on Sunday and designated holidays. Meters accept nickels, dimes, quarters, and prepaid electronic debit cards.
