Course Description: This symposium is a one-day educational event that focuses on the most up-to-date techniques for the treatment of peripheral vascular disease and includes brief how-to sessions on evolving endovascular therapies. Our nationally recognized faculty will address issues in current clinical practice, complications and pitfalls of newer technologies, and discuss the evolution of the field. Using a systems-based approach, the format will cover all major areas of vascular disease. Attendee participation and interaction will be emphasized and facilitated through debates, Q and A sessions and an interactive case presentation.

At the completion of the program, participants will be able to:

*Understand the most current surgical and endovascular treatment methods for patients with vascular diseases including: lower extremity ischemia, aortic aneurysms, carotid disease and venous disease

*Understand the decision-making process in choosing between different endovascular methods for the management of chronic lower extremity ischemia

*Review the techniques and results of surgical and endovascular options for lower extremity revascularization and limb salvage

*Understand surgical and endovascular best practices and techniques for the treatment of carotid artery disease including sessions on eversion endarterectomy, advanced endovascular techniques for challenging arch anatomy, and strengths and weaknesses of the available cerebral protection devices.

*Review the most current devices and techniques for the repair of thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysms.
