The annual meeting of the European Society of Vascular Surgery is the highlight of the vascular calendar and we hope that the 21st meeting in Nice will live up to, and surpass, your expectations. Welcome to Nice, an outstanding venue for our 22nd meeting. We have introduced a master class "Meet the experts" and have tried to reflect the breadth of vascular practice by increasing the content of venous disease and vascular access surgery. As well as scientific papers and posters we now have case presentations, and workshops include varicose veins treatment and ultrasound investigation. Everyone should find something to keep them out of the beautiful town of Nice and away from the beach! The meeting itself will be held in the Acropolis, a beautiful congress hall which will provide an attractive, efficient and sophisticated setting for the meeting. This will be an opportunity to learn the latest in vascular health trends, prevention and treatments.
