Joann M. Lohr, MD, RVT, Good Samaritan Hospital, Elected to Distinguished Fellows Status, Society for Vascular Surgery
CHICAGO (July 02, 2007) —
Dr. Joann M. Lohr, MD, RVT was elected to distinguished fellow status of the Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS) at the 61st Vascular Annual Meeting on June 7, 2007. She is an associate program director of the Good Samaritan Hospital Vascular Surgery Residency Program in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dr. Lohr also is the director of the John J. Cranley Vascular Laboratory at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dr. Lohr’s election was based upon her scholarly research activities, creative professional activities and broadly recognized teaching excellence.
“We are proud to include Dr. Lohr as a distinguished fellow in the Society for Vascular Surgery,” said K. Wayne Johnston, MD, SVS president. “She exemplifies the qualities and commitment to excellence our membership subscribes to in vascular health care.”
Dr. Lohr is the author of 44 peer-reviewed articles and eight book chapters and has given numerous presentations at regional and national meetings. She is on the editorial boards of various journals and was the associate editor of the Yearbook of Vascular Surgery. Additionally, Dr. Lohr received the Surgery Resident’s Teaching Award from Good Samaritan Hospital (2003). She has been rated as one of Cincinnati’s Top Doctors by Cincinnati Magazine.
In addition to her dedication to the SVS, Dr. Lohr is involved with the American College of Surgeons, American Venous Forum, Cincinnati Surgical Society, and the Society of Clinical Vascular Surgery.
