Vikram S. Kashyap, MD, Cleveland Clinic, Elected to Distinguished Fellows Status, Society for Vascular Surgery
CHICAGO (July 02, 2007) —
Dr. Vikram S. Kashyap was elected to distinguished fellow status of the Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS) at the 61st Vascular Annual Meeting on June 7, 2007. Dr. Kashyap is an associate professor of surgery in the department of vascular surgery at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. He also is an assistant professor of surgery at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences in Bethesda, Md. Dr. Kashyap’s election was based upon his scholarly research activities, creative professional activities and broadly recognized teaching excellence.

Dr. Kashyap has received numerous research awards including the American Vascular Association Mentored Patient-Oriented Research Career Development Award (K23) (2007), the Peripheral Vascular Surgery Society Traveling Award (2004) and the American College of Surgeons Faculty Research Fellowship (2004-2006). In 2006 he was listed in the Guide to America’s Top Surgeons. Dr. Kashyap has published over 46 peer-reviewed manuscripts and has given numerous presentations at regional and national meetings.
In addition to his dedication to the SVS, Dr. Kashyap is involved with the Academy of Medicine of Cleveland, American College of Surgeons, Association for Academic Surgery, Cleveland Vascular Society, Midwestern Vascular Surgical Society, Peripheral Vascular Surgery Society and the Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery.
