Vascular Registry

In July 2005 SVS successfully launched the Vascular Registry for carotid artery stenting and carotid endarterectomy. The Vascular Registry provides institutions with an easy-to-use, cost-effective way to meet CMS regulations for payment of carotid artery stenting.

The registry provides a real-time database of all carotid procedures performed at an institution, with ability to assess correlations among practitioners, procedures, comorbidities, and outcomes. More importantly, the data collected and analyzed in Vascular Registry will help ensure that carotid stenting will be safely and effectively introduced into the broad medical community while assuring and measuring a high quality of care for patients requiring carotid revascularization.

The SVS welcomes industry partnership in this initiative of great importance to our members and to our ongoing mission of making meaningful improvements in the health of Americans.
