Scope of Work

Promotes a supportive environment for women vascular surgeons
Fosters professional development by networking, identifying mentors and advancing the representation of women in the committees and governance of the Society

2009 - 2010 Charges

Conduct educational session and networking breakfast at VAM
Present 2009 Women’s Leadership Retreat
Identify ways to promote SVS female members into SVS leadership positions
Develop leadership training initiatives for SVS female members including leadership retreats and leadership awards
Collaborate with the Student and Resident Recruitment Committee to recruit female physicians into vascular surgery, addressing unique needs of practicing female surgeons
