Scope of Work

  • Oversees SVS programs for continuing education for practicing vascular surgeons
  • Oversees SVS activities related to training of residents and fellows
  • Develops new educational initiatives
  • Coordinates and oversee activities of reporting committees  

2009 - 2010 Charges

  • Evaluate current SVS Education Strategic Plan; prioritize initiatives based on member needs and available resources; revise plan as needed.
  • Based on current ACCME Accreditation Criteria and 2009 Recertification Review, address the following: Needs assessment; COI – review of content pre and post meetings/production; Outcomes measurement
  • Review and revise CME Mission Statement as needed (ongoing)
  • Evaluate Education Council infrastructure to ensure that education initiatives are accomplished (ongoing)
  • Evaluate feasibility of selected readings in vascular surgery.

  • Program Committee
  • Resident and Student Outreach Committee
  • Residency Program Development Committee
  • VESAP Committee
