Mission Statement: The mission of the Carotid Stent Training and Mentoring Committee is to assist qualified vascular surgeons in obtaining training, preceptorships, and mentoring in the performance of carotid stenting (CAS).

This committee will design, implement, and oversee a program for vascular surgeons to obtain hands-on carotid stent training and achieve qualifications for privileges at their respective institutions.

By formalizing this process, we have the opportunity to maintain the highest standards of care for patients with carotid artery disease by ensuring that well qualified surgeons pursue a rigorous course of training in CAS leading to the achievement of specific training goals.
