SVS General Surgery Resident Section

The Section serves as a platform for general surgery residents to gain access to valuable vascular surgery career resources and promote a network of similarly interested residents. Members include graduates of medical schools in the U.S., Canada and internationally, with a current status as a resident enrolled in a training program focused on general surgery. (Residents in 0-5 and 3&3 vascular surgery integrated residency programs are eligible to become SVS candidate members.) Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Click here for more information on the Section or to apply. Already a member? Visit the General Sugrery Resident Section Member Area.

The Section’s activities are overseen by an eight-member Governing Council that is elected by the Section’s members at each Vascular Annual Meeting (except for one Active Member that is appointed by the SVS President). The Governing Council is responsible for carrying out policies and actions items adopted by the Section, as well as directing its agenda and strategies. The Governing Council Section meeting will be presided over by a Chair elected by and from among the Governing Council members.
