This research will help to better understand the pathogenesis of abdominal aortic aneurysm formation which could lead to the development of pharmacotherapies used to prevent its expansion and rupture.
The Mentored Clinical Scientist Development Award (K08) supports the development of vascular surgery scientists in the early stages of their research career. It provides support for three to five years of supervised study and research.
